Little India Day

We organized "Little India Day," an event aimed at sharing traditional Indian culture and exploring how Indians are living in Hong Kong. During the tour, we visited Indian grocery shops, a Hindu temple, and an Indian vegetarian restaurant.

We had a wonderful time with our guests came from different countries, including India, Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. (that was a a group of 16 people!)  We had shared many stories and rituals about Hindu temples and gods, and also introduced Ayurvedic herbs for wellbeings.

It was heartwarming to see people hearing about God's name and they enjoy singing Bhajan and chanting for the first time in the temple.

The event was a great success. Jai Sri Ram!

Little India Day with students

Once again, we are honored to be invited by the IKKC International Culture Club of Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui College, a secondary school, as special guests to introduce Indian culture to teachers and students. (We ended up with a group of 12!)

This is the first time that students have had an opportunity to learn outside the classroom and hear stories about Hindu culture, traditions, and the names of Gods. During our visit to an Indian puja store, they also had the chance to explore different deities on display and learn about how do we worship with puja items.

The most inspiring part of the tour was visiting Krishna temple at ISKCON HONG KONG. It was the very first time for them to visit a temple and see the main deity. They learned about the lilas (divine pastimes) of Krishna in Vrindavan and had the opportunity to take darshan (receive blessings) from Krishna during the noon puja section at the temple. We also shared information about the Hari Bhakta Global Community project with the group and emphasize the importance of devotion.

It was a truly blessed and joyful event! Jai, Haribol!

Some of the programs we did customized to suit the needs of individuals and that is available for half-day or one-day retreat. It usually takes place in nature and sea-side, allowing for a connection to the healing power of trees and the sea.

Inner Peace Retreat

We emphasize the importance of mantra, chanting, and meditation in helping individuals discover inner peace. Our program teaches participants how to chant mantras, specifically peaceful mantras like Shiva mantra, Lakshmi mantra or Gayatri mantra, and OM, with teaching meditation techniques for practising.

Hong Kong is a dynamic city, but many people there suffer from stress, depression, city life in a lack of inner peace and joy. A significant number of individuals suffer from mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Providing a peace retreat in Hong Kong countryside can help them release stress and find tranquility to practice and bring peace to their lives.

Saree Day - Culture Exchange

In India, it is customary for women to wear traditional garment called saree and adorn their hands with beautiful henna designs to celebrate special occasions.

To enhance the cultural experience, we have organized a special cultural exchange program. As part of this program, the group had an opportunity to visit a local Indian family. The family has graciously host us as guests and teach the group in a way of how to drape a saree. This is the first experience of wearing saree and hand paintings henna, and that is related to traditional Indian culture represent in celebrations. With the unique experience, the aim is to embrace the feminine energy in each of us.

The group has greatly enjoyed this unique opportunity to interact with an Indian family and share about cultures and festivals.

During the event, we will also share the names of revered Hindu goddesses such as Pavati, Lakshmi, Saraswati, and Radha. This has further enrich our understanding of Indian mythology and spirituality, adding depth to the overall experience. They are thankful for this experience organised by Hari Community!

Types of Yoga

The significance of spiritual growth lies in understanding and practicing yoga, which goes beyond just asana yoga that is popular in the market. It involves allowing those who come to the community to understand the concept of four types of yoga: gnana yogi, bhakti yogi, karma yogi, and kriya yogi. Through practice, we promote harmony by aligning the body, mind, emotions, and energy.

Join our activity to build a solid foundation in spiritual practice and receive guidance for spiritual seekers. Transform your life in a way that brings health, joy, and blissfulness.
